The commissioners met for a public meeting Monday for input on the proposed tax rate for the county of 0.66 per $100 evaluation tax rate. The proposed rate is 0.0211 less than last year. Three people were sentenced in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, with the Honorable Carson Campbell presiding. Kevin Soto, 51 of Bryan, Texas, was sentenced to 200 days confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Division for theft of property, %2,500 to $30,000.
