Lillian Dolores Zoch Graham

 

 

Funeral services for Lillian Zoch Graham, 84 of Pearland, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Tiner and Vicar Josh Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Lillian Zoch Graham was born on February 23, 1938 in Winchester, Texas to Herman and Lydia (Symank) Zoch. She was baptized on February 27, 1938 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester by Rev. Louis Trinklein. On March 18, 1951, she was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran church in Giddings by Rev. Max Studtmann. Her confirmation verse was Joshua 1:5-6, “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.” She graduated from Giddings High School in 1955. On August 30, 1959, she was united in marriage to Olin Graham. They were blessed with three children. Lillian worked many years for Skyline Steel as an office manager. She also was a wonderful homemaker as she took care of her three children, was an expert seamstress, and canned food they harvested from her gardens. Lillian was also very involved in the churches they were members of – St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, King of Kings Lutheran Church in Houston, Hope Lutheran Church in Friendswood, Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pearland, and Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Houston.

Lillian passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Landing at Watercrest in Pearland.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Olin Graham; parents, Herman and Lydia Zoch; five brothers, Leon Zoch, Calvin “Toots” & Annie Doris Zoch, Leroy Zoch, Herman “John” & Vivian Zoch, and Elton “Bozo” & Rosalind Zoch, and one sister, Frances Roeber.

Lillian is survived by her children, Lynell & Doyle Ellis of Alvin, Mark & Adriene Graham of Louisiana, and Brad & Renate Graham of Pearland; five grandchildren, Ava Graham, Arnold Graham, LeAnna Graham, Kristine Trawick, and Jacob Trawick; one great-granddaughter, Anastasia; brother, Nelson “Tuffy” & Mary Sue Zoch; brother-in-law, Herbert Roeber; sister-in-law, Constance “Connie” Zoch, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Texas, 7000 North MoPac Expy #200, Austin, TX, 78731, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, or to the charity of one’s choice.
