Funeral services for Helen Fritsche, 71 of Loebau, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings, Texas with Tim Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Giddings City Cemetery.

Helen Marie Fritsche was born on March 19, 1950 in Giddings, Texas, the daughter of Gilbert Gerhard Fritsche and Freida Mathilda (Bittner) Fritsche. She was baptized on April 9, 1950 and confirmed on March 22, 1964 by Pastor Lewis Boriack at Trinity Lutheran Church in Old Dime Box.

Helen was married to Lewis Burrier and together they raised their son Charles.

While attending Trinity Lutheran Church, Helen was an active member in the Trinity Lutheran Lady’s Aid and was always willing to lend a hand with any activities the church had. Outside of her helping with the church, Helen enjoyed playing bingo, doing word search puzzles, and taking trips to Louisiana.

She loved all of her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. Helen was an excellent cook who enjoyed feeding both family and friends. Helen made sure that she was at every family event possible. She was a nurturing and giving lady and never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone that was in need.

Helen passed away the evening of Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Oakland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Giddings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Freida Fritsche; her husband Lewis Burrier, and her sister, Karen Fritsche.

Helen is survived by her son, Charles and Kristin Fritsche of Loebau; three brothers, Alwin and Margaret Fritsche of Dime Box, Marvin Fritsche of Loebau, and Gary Fritsche of Loebau; three grandchildren, Chance Fritsche, Marcus Fritsche, and Heather Fritsche all of Loebau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Fritsche, Kevin Fritsche, Tim Fritsche, Robert Fritsche, Will Mikulin, and Josh Boriack.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or the charity of one’s choice.
