Tuesday's Internet Edition, July 08, 2008. Lee County Jr. Livestock Announces 2005 Schedule - Lee County Junior Livestock Show (LCJLS) has announced the 2005 schedule. The show will begin on Thursday, March 3, and continue through Saturday, March 5. Exhibitors will show at the LCJLS facilities north of the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Arena, approximately two miles west of downtown Giddings on Hwy 290. Broilers, rabbits, commercial heifer and junior breed heifers will all show on Thursday, March 3. Also, the YFCA entries and Junior Livestock Poster entries will be judged on Thursday. Exhibitors showing in Friday, March 4, include market swine, market lambs, market goats and steer. Finishing the schedule on Saturday, March 5, will be the PeeWee Swine Showmanship, followed by the Buyer’s get-together. The Auction Sale will begin at 1:30 pm Saturday. Artis Poston, LCJLS Secretary, said, “We have been working to make it the best ever and one you will enjoy. The exhibitors have also been busy for months preparing their projects.” In speaking about Saturday’s Buyer’s get-together, Poston said, “To assure the success of our show, we encourage you to attend. Your participation continues to support the youth of our county and is always appreciated.”
