Tuesday's Internet Edition, July 08, 2008. Lexington Park Building Needs Help - Lexington Community Enterprises, Inc. (LCE), which owns and manages the Lexington Memorial Park Building, will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, February 10, at the Park Building. A pancake/sausage supper will be served at 6:30 pm with the annual business meeting conducted immediately following the meal. Lexington Community Enterprises is comprised of members of the Lexington’s Lions Club, Community Chamber of Commerce and Volunteer Fire Department. All members of each of these organizations are invited to this annual meeting to enjoy the evening meal and discuss the management of the Park Building. Maintenance requirements, bookings, expenses and financial status will be discussed as well as the feasibility of placing the ownership of the building into a situation that would qualify repair and maintenance or replacement of the building through grants. LCE board members are: representing the Chamber of Commerce, Ronny Bryan, Nancy Perry and Cindy Herklotz; representing the VFD, Mike Organ, Don Milburn and Randy Brown; and, representing the Lions Club, Bob and Judy Belyeu and Avery Wright. This is an important meeting as the future of the building’s operation is considered.
