Saturday's Internet Edition, May 17, 2008. Cowboy Cooking - A Taste from the Dutch Oven Students in Outdoor Ed classes at the high school and middle school learned and got a taste of the art of dutch oven cooking. The Traveling Dutch Oven Cookers are a group of friends who travel to different parts of Texas to introduce others to this art. Irene and Jerry Martin, and Vera and Ken Brown are part of the state-wide group known as the Lone Star Dutch Oven Society. They came to Lexington on Monday, April 24th to give the students a tasty lesson and a full turkey and dressing dinner, cooked entirely in dutch ovens. The Outdoor Ed classes are taught by David and Jennifer Mohr. -
