Lee County Jr. Livestock Show Opens this Week - The 2005 Lee County Junior Livestock Show will be held this week, beginning Thursday through Saturday, March 3, 4 and 5. This is the 33rd annual show that boasts of more than 300 entries. The committee has been working to make this the best show ever and one everyone will enjoy. The exhibitors have also been busy for months preparing their projects. The show will be held at the Lee County Junior Livestock Show facility north of the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Arena about 2 miles west of downtown Giddings on Highway 290. The Broiler Show will start at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday; Rabbit Show at 11:00 a.m.; Commercial Heifer Show at 4:00 p.m. and Junior Breeding Heifer Show at 6:30 p.m. On Friday, the Market Swine Show begins at 8:00 a.m.; Market Lamb Show begins at 1:30 p.m.; Market Goat Show starts at 3:00 p.m. and Steer Show will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday everything will wind down with the Pee Wee Swine Showmanship starting at 8:30. The Buyers’ Get-together will be held at 11:30 and the sale will start at 1:30. Your participation continues to support the youth of Lee County and is always appreciated.
