District Court Sentences Three

Lee County District Courthourse
- The Lee County District Court handed down three sentences on Thursday, April 7. Judge Terry Flenniken presided.

Jennifer Valdez, 17, of the Texas Youth Commission, was sentenced for assault against a public servant, bodily injury. She received four years confinement in Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), $400 court appointed attorney fees and $286 court costs.

Shadrach Lee Haywood, Jr., 20, of Giddings, was convicted of robbery. He received four years confinement in TDCJ, probated for five years, $400 court appointed attorney fees, $286 court costs and six months confinement in the Lee County Jail as a condition of probation.

Jonathan Paul Sweeney, 20, of Smithville, received revocation of probation on a prior charge of burglary of a building. He received six months confinement in TDCJ, with credit for time served, and all costs previously assessed.
