Tuesday's Internet Edition, July 08, 2008. Lee County District Court Sentences Five - Lee County District Court convened on Friday, November 5, under Judge John L. Placke. The following sentences were handed down: John Lewis Mathis, 29, of Giddings, was found guilty of delivery of a controlled substance. He received 10 years in jail, probated for 10 years, a $2,500 fine, and $690 restitution. Robert Kenneth Phelps, 45, of Bastrop, was sentenced for possession of a controlled substance. He received 7 years probation, a $2,500 fine, and $140 restitution. Justin Lee Navaroo, 20, of San Antonio, was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance. He received 5 years probation, a $1,500 fine, court appointed attorney fees, and $140 restitution. Marcus Alexander Guerrero, 21, of Katy, received 4 years probation, a $2,000 fine, and $140 restitution for a charge of possession of marijuana. Steven Paul Faust, 28, of Schertz, was found guilty of forgery by passing. He received 2 years TDCJ State Jail Facility, probated 3 years, court appointed attorney fees; $60 restitution, and a $1,000 fine. All sentenced were ordered to pay court costs and do community service.
