Sunday's Internet Edition, September 07, 2008. 7th Annual Dime Box Country Christmas - Things are buzzing again in Dime Box. Plans are being made for their Annual Dime Box Country Christmas to be held on December 4 from noon to dusk. There will be arts and crafts, food, an antique/classic car display, tractor/engine display, Chili cook-off, Harry the Clown and various activities and games for the children. Booths can be set up around 11 am and the general activities will start at noon. The parade will be at 1:00 pm, with line up at 12:30 pm, and again there will be a decorated trike/bike entry in the parade for any children who want to participate. The Chili Cook-Off entrants should have their chili ready to be judged at 2:30 pm with tasting to follow. We will also have the live nativity in the Dime Box School Gym with Christmas carols, chili awards and the Raffle winners sometime around 5:00 pm. The day will end with the Lions Club Christmas tree lighting and Santa coming to town at dusk. Hope you can spend an afternoon in Dime Box and enjoy the country atmosphere.
