Local Man Injured in Single Car Accident
-
Bobby Ruthven of McDade suffered severe injuries in a one-car automobile accident last Thursday, April 13, at approximately 3:00 p.m. He was traveling westbound, 4.8 miles outside of Lexington on FM 696, driving a beige 1988 Ford Mustang convertible. It was reported that he suffered a sneezing attach, when he veered off the road, losing control of his vehicle.
Lexington EMS and VFD responded to the accident. He was trapped inside his vehicle and emergency personnel had to use the Jaws of Life to remove him from the wreckage. He was life-flighted to a hospital in Austin, where, at last report, he remains in guarded, but stable condition.
