Sunday's Internet Edition, July 20, 2008. Girl Struck by Car at School - A car struck an 8-year-old girl as she ran across the parking lot at Giddings Middle School last Tuesday, December 14. At approximately 3:45 pm, the young pedestrian ran through two rows of parked cards, separated by a grassy median, behind a moving vehicle and into the path of a second vehicle moving in the opposite direction. B&M Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene however the police report indicated treatment was refused. No charges were filed in the matter. The investigator’s report of the incident indicated ‘pedestrian failed to yield right of way to vehicle’.
