HLSR Ticket Sales Benefit Local Youth

- The Lee County Go-Texan Committee (LCGT) announced Tuesday that ticket sales to the upcoming Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) can benefit the youth of Lee County. When purchasing rodeo ticket, you will enhance the chances of LCGT of getting more scholarship money for the Lee County student chosen to receive the 2005 HLSR scholarship. Ticket sales include both window sales as well as tickets purchased through LCGT.

Lee County Go-Texan has tickets available for the HLSR Rodeo Finals on Saturday, March 19. In addition, LCGT is able to purchase tickets for the other performances prior to their availability through the usual ticketing agencies. The 2005 entertainment line-up for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be announced at noon on January 10.

To purchase advance tickets, contact Dennis Hengst at 979-542-5003 or Rodney Exner at 979-773-2227 (office) or 979-773-4078 (home) or any other committee member by January 12. The cost is $20 per ticket for the Saturday, March 19, performance and $19 per ticket for all other performances.

Lee County Go-Texan will also get credit for tickets purchased at the Reliant Center. When purchasing tickets, anyone is eligible to have purchase tickets that will benefit LCGT. If a person goes to the ticket windows on the second floor of Reliant Center any time during the 2005 rodeo to purchase tickets and tells the clerks that you wish to designate your purchase toward Lee County, you will be given an order form to fill out so LCGT get credit for the sales!! Spread the word to all of your friends and family, regardless of where they actually live.

Other Lee County Go Texan Committee members include Kerry Bexley, Billy Gillum, Kathy and James Kalbas, Lola and Michael Wiederhold, Jeff and Melanie Hooper, Diane Walch, Ray Edwards, Susan Michael, Evan Gonzales, and Kyle Devoll. James Mitschke is a Senior Member and Life Time Members include Loretta Chilek and Kenneth Weiser. All support that benefits our youth is appreciated.
