The post season honors keep coming for Lexington’s outstanding senior athlete, Jordan Peterson. In a list released by Texas Prep Xtra, Peterson was named Centex MVP for the Austin/Waco area. This includes all classes from A to 5A.
It is quite an honor for the multi-talented athlete who has verbally committed to Texas A&M. Peterson accounted for over 3,500 yards this season. He rushed for 1,748 yards, passed for 1,440 yards, returned punts for more than 360 yards, and intercepted six passes returning two for scores. Peterson started for Lexington four years. His freshman season was cut short with a leg injury, but the rest is well-documented history that will not be repeated in the near future.
In the same release, Texas Prep Xtra’s 2A All Centex Team included Will Brademan (18 catches for 265 yards) as a first team tight end selection and Josh Aduddell as a first team defensive lineman. Tyler Cook received second team recognition as a linebacker. E.J. Hawkins, Abel Lara, and Alex McFarland received third team recognition. The post-season honors were for players that led Lexington to its best season in over 25 years.
