Giddings Long-Time Businessman Dies Lee Prihoda February 20, 1930 – January 28, 2005 - LeRoy (Lee) Robert Prihoda of Giddings passed away at home on Friday, January 28. He was the long-time owner and operator of the Giddings Lumber and Hardware Store located on Highway 290, west of Highway 77. He opened the store in the mid-1960’s and operated it until his retirement in recent years. A visit to the store that he ran with his wife, Angie, was like a trip back in time. Not only did they carry new, modern items, but many things that your grandmother used. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, February 1, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. The Reverend Jim Olnhausen presided. Burial was conducted in the Fayetteville Catholic Cemetery. A complete obituary can be found in today’s on-line edition.
