Heidi Snow McKinley Heidi Snow McKinley, 24, of Lexington died Tuesday morning, October 10, 2006 as a result of injuries she sustained in a one- vehicle accident in Waller County near Hempstead. Unselfishly, she had chosen to be an organ donor. Heidi is the wife of Nathan McKinley of Lexington, the daughter of Bob and Jean Snow of Bellville, and the daughter-in-law of John David and Pat McKinley of Lexington. She is also survived by her daughters, Alaya and Savanna. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. A complete Obituary will be in next week’s Leader and on the web. February 21, 1942 – October 8, 2006 Jack Dube passed away at his home in Giddings on October 8, 2006. He was 64. Rev. Hoerig conducted funeral services on October 10, 2006 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings. Burial was in the Dube Family Cemetery. Jack was born in Dime Box on February 21, 1942 to Walter and Helen Anschutz Dube. He and Peggy Lehmann were married on June 18, 1966. He trained racehorses at the Dube Racing Stables. His father, Walter Dube precedes him in death. He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Giddings, 2 daughters, Tammy Key and Brian Fischer of Ledbetter and Jackie Dube of Giddings; his brother: Bobby and Bonnie Dube of Round Top, grandson, Riley Key; mother, Helen Dube of Dime Box; sisters: Jo and Pete Nimtz of Giddings, Dot and Bobby Norred of Kingsland and Becky and Clyde Maass of Giddings. August 9, 1914 - October 1, 2006 A Memorial Service for Margaret Louise Mayfield, 92 of Plano, was held on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church in Plano with Reverend James Woelmer officiating. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Giddings Memorial Park in Giddings. Mrs. Mayfield died on Sunday, October 1, 2006 in Dallas. She was born on August 9, 1914 in Manheim to Martin and Eleanor (Kutschke) Knobloch. She was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Manheim. Margaret was united in marriage to Isaac Newton (Tim) Mayfield on July 4, 1937 in Giddings. She obtained her certification as an LVN through Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in 1962 and was employed by area nursing homes for many years. Margaret was a loving mother and wife and an active member of her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2005, son-in-law, Robert L. Gustavson, and a grandson, David R. Gustavson. She is survived by her son, John A. Mayfield of Lucas, Texas; her daughter, Lou Nell Gustavson of Topeka, Kansas; her granddaughter, Susan M. Maxwell of Kansas City, Missouri; and her great-granddaughter, Emma D. Gustavson of Kansas City, Missouri. October 7, 2006 Benny D McDavid, age 77, of Austin, Texas, died on Saturday, October 7, 2006. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Minister Gene Van Noord of East 3rd St. Church of Christ in Cameron conducted the funeral service at Phillips & Luckey Funeral home on October 2, 2006. Burial was in the Sandy Creek Cemetery near Rockdale. Mr. Sutton was born to Charlie Frank and Augusta (Quast) Sutton on October 5, 1925 in Yoakum, Texas. He retired from ALCOA after 30 years, working as Pot Room Shift Foreman. He married Peggy Ann Diver on November 21, 1997. His parents and 5 brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann of Rockdale, daughter, Susan Rinderknecht and husband Ronny of Grapevine; granddaughters, Reagan and Raeley Rinderknect; step-son, Kerry Schlemmer and wife Tammy of Rockdale; sister, June Champion of Burnet. He was a member of East 3rd St. Church of Christ in Cameron and of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a graduate of Taylor High School and attended Rice University. He served in the Marine Corp during WWII. |
