Louise Stueber Akin

January 26, 1919 – October 28, 2006

Mrs. Louise Akin, 87, passed away on October 28, 2006 at her home in Giddings. Rev. David Davidson will conduct the funeral service at First United Methodist Church in Giddings on November 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Louise was born on January 26, 1919 in Brenham to August and Fannie Pearl Worden Jahnke. She married Grady Stueber on April 21, 1940 in Giddings. Following his death, she married Lewis Dean (L.D.) Akin on July 7, 1975 in Las Vegas. Louise owned and operated Louise’s Beauty Shop in Giddings for many years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Giddings where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Louise was also an active volunteer with Rejuvenation in Giddings.

She enjoyed camping, fishing and gambling. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband: Grady Stueber, her second husband, L.D. Akin, step son, Harold Stueber and 2 sisters, Annie Mae Engelage and Barbara Muery.

Mrs. Akin is survived by 3 sons: Grady and Kathy Stueber of Giddings, James Stueber of Giddings, and Michael Stueber and Ann St. Wrba of Austin; daughter-in-law, Terry and Ernie Voight of Giddings, step-daughter-in-law, Judy Stueber of LaGrange, step daughter, Barbara Siciotte of Ft. Worth; 2 step sons: Clifton and Debe Akin of Tanglewood and Charlie and Sharion Akin of Bastrop. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren: Chris and Kim Stueber of Giddings, Stephaine and Jon Walther of Lincoln, Cheryl and Gary Pietsch of Giddings, Kevin and Penny Stueber of Giddings, Audra and David Viesca of Giddings, Michael William Stueber of Bryan, Chad Stueber of Wyoming, Brittney and Josh Skidmore of Ft. Lewis, WA, Summer Ray and Brian Torchia of Woodstock, GA, Dana Cox of Spring, Jackie and Danny Muzny, Janis and Chris Janca, Jill Stueber, Jeff and Cindy Stueber all of La Grange and Jennifer and Jim Sanders of Honolulu, HI. 28 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren; sister, Ernestine and Fred Kieke of Brenham and brother-in-law, Harper Muery of Gay Hill.

Patsy A. Bounds

August 21, 1942 – October 29, 2006

Patsy Bounds, 64, passed away on October 29, 2006 at Manor Oaks Nursing Center in Rockdale. Graveside service was held on October 31, 2006 at Sandy Creek Cemetery near Rockdale. Jack Eastland of Milano officiated.

Patsy was born on August 21, 1942 in Houston to Warren Leeman and Edith Jewel Bankston Bownds. She was a homemaker and was a member of Sandy Creek Church of Christ. Her parents precede her in death.

She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Bounds and wife, Janice of Rockdale and her niece, Laren Eastland and husband Jack of Milano and her nephew, Lee Bounds and wife Tammi, also of Milano.
