Pricilla Mae Holley

December 1, 1919 - March 12, 2007

Pricilla Mae Holley, 87, died on March 12, 2007 in the Beaumont Health Care in Beaumont, Texas. Formerly of Rockdale, Mrs. Holley had lived in Beaumont for the past 2 years. Graveside services were held on March 15 at Liberty Cemetery near Milano. Officiating was Rev. John Warren of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale where Mrs. Holley was a member.

Mrs. Holley was born in Portsmouth, Rhode Island on December 1, 1919 to Vincent and Mae Coggeshall. She owned and operated a service station in Rhode Island for 15 years. In Houston, she owned and operated a service station, then a restaurant. She married Fosier “Toby” Holley on August 21, 1942 in Portsmouth, RI. Her husband of over 50 years, Toby, and her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, James V. Holley and wife Pat of Cameron and Edward L. Holley and wife Ruth of Vidor; brothers, Vincent Coggeshall and wife Betty of Portsmouth, RI and Herbert Coggeshall and wife Mrytle of Connecticut; sister, Phyllis Correa and husband Everett of Portsmouth, RI and 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Odell William Jantzen

November 24, 1928 – March 14, 2007

Odell W. Jantzen, 78, of Giddings, passed away on March 14, 2007 at Country Care Plex in Giddings. Rev. Edwin Schwanke and Intern Heath Abel conducted the funeral at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings on March 16, 2007. Burial was in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Mr. Jantzen was born in Paige, Texas on November 24, 1928. His parents were William and Alma Zander Jantzen. He and Nora Fischer were married on February 12, 1956. He was a firefighter for the City of Austin. His parents, brother, J.D., sister, Grace Harris and a niece preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Nora of Giddings, son, Larry and Denise Jantzen and grandson, John Jantzen of Cedar Park; grandchildren: Leigh-Ann and Colin Lucas of Korea and Garret Toler of Florida; sister-in-law, Myrtle Jantzen of Giddings; brothers-in-law, Anton and Floris Fischer of Giddings and Erwin and Jenett Fischer of Midland and nephew-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Brown of Austin.

He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings. Memorials may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Grace Mayfield Reynolds

December 18, 1911 – March 16, 2007
Grace Reynolds, 95, of Lexington passed away on March 16, 2007 in Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings. Rev. Reuel Cooper officiated at graveside services on Monday, March 19, 2007 at the Lexington Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds was born in Hamlin, Texas on December 18, 1911 to Martin Luther and Lillie Mayfield. She and Robert Ross Reynolds were married on August 23, 1929 in Clovis, New Mexico. She owned the G & B Shop in Lexington for many years. Her husband, parents, brother, Fred Mayfield and sister, Norma James preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Quinney of Lexington, twin sister, Rose Marshall of Arkansas, brother, T. P. and Valerie Mayfield of California and sister-in-law, Edna Reynolds of Lexington. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Adele Ruth Urban

December 15, 1925 – March 18, 2007

Adele Ruth Urban, 81, of Giddings, passed away on March 18, 2007 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. The funeral was held on March 20, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial was in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Mrs. Urban was born in Northrup, Texas on December 15, 1925 to Gerhardt and Maria Miertschin Zoch. She and Vernon W. Urban were married on June 24, 1945. She worked as a waitress. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons, Donald, Johnny and Victor and daughter Dianna Urban Haschke; brothers, Alvin, Paul, Arthur, Marvin, Ted and Elton Zoch; sisters: Sophie Schultze, Ella Lorenz and Matilda Zoch.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie and wife Debbie Urban of Houston; their daughters: Stephanie and husband Danny Clark and their children: Kayla, Rebecca, Blake and Katie Clark of Houston and Tammy Urban of Houston; Stacey and husband Brandon Holmes and their children: Kadence and Kielee of College Station; son Gene and wife Karen Urban of Giddings; their children: Kacey and husband Jason Mitschke of Dime Box and Garett Urban of Giddings; son, Kenny and wife Fran Urban of Giddings; their children: Amy and Clay Urban of Giddings; daughter, Barbara and husband Glenn Schultz of Ledbetter; daughter, Cathy and husband Mike Siegeler of Giddings and their sons: Justin Siegler of Giddings and Michael and wife Robyn Siegeler and their children: Allie and Chase Siegeler of Giddings; daughter, Darlene and husband Rocky Spacek of Ledbetter; their daughter Adyson Spacek of Ledbetter, Amber Spacek of College Station, Autumn Spacek and her son, Masyn Spacek of College Station and Alesha Spacek of College Station; grandson, Chris and wife Debbie Haschke and their daughter and son Kelsey and Dillon of Lufkin; brother, Telford Zoch of Northrup and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth “Betty” Lamb

October 12, 1943 – March 15, 2007

Mrs. Betty Lamb, 63, passed away on March 15, 2007 in the Regency Manor Nursing Home in Temple. The funeral service was March 19, 2007 at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial was in the Lilac Cemetery near Sharp. Rev. John Roark officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Neal Brand, Donny Heine, Gary McDaniels, Gene Northcott, J.C. Payne and C. J. Parker.

Betty was born on October 12, 1943 to Metodey Ciril and Cecelia Veronica (Dube) Fronek. She and Roy Lamb were married on August 9, 1969 in Cameron. She was a cook with the Granger Nursing Home then with Johns Community Hospital in Taylor for 10 years. Her husband, Roy, parents and brothers: Emil and Billy Fronek preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons: Charles Parker of Rockdale, Robert Parker of Taylor, Jimmy Parker of Rogers and Dwayne Lamb of Taylor; step sons: Royce Lamb of Caldwell, Roger Lamb of Georgia, and Ronnie Lamb of Gustine; brother, Henry Fronek of Houston; sisters, Georgia Cockrum of Temple and Cecelia Hamm of Weiser, Idaho. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren.

She was a member of San Gabriel Baptist Church in San Gabriel and enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables.

Frank Douglas Ray (Rawhide)

August 10, 1960 – March 16, 2007

Frank Douglas (Doug) Ray, 46 of Lexington, passed away on March 16, 2007 at Brackenridge Hospital.

Doug was born on August 10, 1960 in Rockdale, Texas to James and Ellen Ray. He was preceded in death by his father, James, and brother, James Ward.

He is survived by two sons, Colton Ray and Brandon Marshall of Lexington; mother Ellen Ray of Lexington; two brothers Alan Ray and wife Vicki of Lovelady, Texas and Jesse Ray and wife Tammy of Lexington; sister Marsha Griffith and husband Greg of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug’s generous spirit and memory will continue to live on through his organ donations.

A celebration of his life will be held next week, day undecided.
