August 20, 1920 - April 10, 2007 Henry A Kipp, 86, died on April 10, 2007 at his home in Ledbetter. Rev. Robert Tiner conducted the funeral service on April 11, 2007 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Burial was in the Giddings City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Kipp, Jeremy Gold, Paul Kipp, Guyle Donham, Joseph Simmons and Austin Vieh. Mr. Kipp was born on August 20, 1920 in Lee County to Paul and Lillie Sommer Kipp. He married Ora Nell Loewe on March 12, 1949. She preceded him in death. He was a rancher. He was a country man and enjoyed the simple things in life. His main source of joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was well known for playing dominoes and scratching lottery tickets. He is survived by his son, Raymond and wife Ann Kipp of Ledbetter, daughter, Evelyn and husband Mike Donham of Rising Star; grandchildren: Dr. Guyle and wife Rachelle Donham of Stephenville, Paul and wife Dana Kipp of Giddings, Rachael and husband Jeremy Gold of Ledbetter, Tara and husband Joseph Simmons of Rising Star, Rebecca and husband Austin Vieh of Austin, and Sara Donham of Rising Star; great grandchildren: Delaney Hirsch of Ledbetter, Hannah Kipp of Giddings, Grant Gold of Ledbetter, Ryan Donham of Stephenville, Grayson Kipp of Giddings, Judson Gold of Ledbetter and Jordan Simmons of Rising Star; sister-in-law, Bernice Loewe of Carmine; nephews: Jimmy and wife Marie Loewe of Carmine and Wilbert Loewe of Brenham. His wife, parents, brother-in-law JR Loewe and nephew Glenn Loewe preceded him in death. May 28, 1925 – April 15, 2007 Augustina Leyendecker, 81, died on April 15, 2007 in the Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale. The funeral service is Wednesday April 18, 2007 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Rockdale with Father Gregory Hanks of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiating. Pallbearers are Edward P. Leyendecker, Chris B. San Migel, Chris Vasquez, Rahia R. Roman, Joe Michael Salinas and Terry Keck. Honorary pallbearers are Julio Vasquez and Patrick Leyendecker. Mrs. Leyendecker was born in Tanglewood on May 28, 1925 to Pedro and Mary Medellin Inocencio. She lived most of her life in Thorndale. She married Ernest C. Leyendecker on August 20, 1945 in Cameron. Her husband, son, Ricky Leyendecker, parents, 3 sisters: Maruine Flores, Janie Cervantez and Mary Lou Fernandez and 4 brothers: Pedro, Joe, Leslie and Efren Inocencio preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons: Edward Leyendecker of Thorndale, Ernest Leyendecker, Jr. of Thorndale and Rahja Roman and wife Melanie of Burleson; daughters: Irene Keck and husband Terry of Burleson and Hazel J. Vasquez of Thorndale; brothers Cayetano Inocencio of Luling, Robert Inocencio and Valentine Inocencio of Houston, and Pete Inocencio of Thorndale; sisters: Julia I. Valdez of Midland and Molly Bottello of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. She loved quilting, sewing and cooking. January 20, 1932 – April 11, 2007 Mrs. Ledger was born on January 20, 1932 in Turnersville, Texas to Truman and Onete Fletcher. She married Fred Ledger in 1948 and worked in the grocery and retail business until she retired in 1980. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ledger, son, Ricky Ledger, twins: Jane Katherine and Jeffrey Carl Ledger, her parents and brothers: Terry and Truman Fletcher. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Judice and husband Larry of Bridge City, Texas, Freddie Robinson and husband J.W. of Groves and Robin Cropper and husband Charles of Groves; brothers: Kenneth Fletcher of New Braunfels, Bill Fletcher of Smithville and Dale Fletcher of Temple; sisters: Wanda Pyeatt of Temple, Linda Rammage of Colleyville, Judy Taylor of Temple and Co Fletcher of Smithville; grandchildren: Cayla, Daron, Jason, Lindsey, Angie, Tina, Jeffray, Troy, Brandon, Ty, Amy, Kelsey, Tab, Ronnie, Johnny and their spouses; and her dear friend, Tincy Hebert. She was a member of West Groves Church of Christ, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, educational television, novels, reading her bible and attending church. Her greatest joys were visiting with her children and grandchildren. March 2, 1937 - April 3, 2007 Frank was born on March 2, 1937 in Rockdale to John Vernon and Bettie McDonald McKee. He and Barbara Jan Denmon were married in Giddings in December 1951. He was a crane operator with TXU Power Plant in Rockdale until his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Lynn McKee and Step Mother Palmolia McKee. He is survived by his wife, Barbara McKee of Spring, son, Gordon McKee, Sr., and wife Gaynell of Houston, daughter, Jan McKee and fiancé Larry Cleary of Spring, and grandchildren: Gordon McKee, Jr. and Joseph McKee. He was a graduate of Aycock High School in Rockdale and a member of the 1956 Championship Football Team. He attended Prairie View A&M on a football scholarship and appeared on the cover of Jet Magazine at Prairie View when they were going to the Gator Bowl. He was drafted from Prairie View into the NFL. November 7, 1963 – April 12, 2007 Mr. Schubert was born on November 7, 1963 to Herbert and Alda Bess Kaiser Schubert, in Austin, Texas. He married Mary Ann Ziegenhals on October 1, 1988 in Lexington, Texas. Ronnie was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. He farmed and ranched near Fedor on the land where he and Mary Ann made their home, and had a long career as foreman for Lee County Precinct 3. Ronnie is survived by his wife Mary Ann Schubert of Fedor, mother Alda Bess Schubert of Austin, brother Leslie Schubert and wife Debbie of McDade, grandparents Walter and Selma Kaiser of Fedor, brothers-in-law: Bob & wife Frances Ziegenhals of Wharton, Bill & wife Cindy Ziegenhals of El Campo, Allen & wife Martha Ziegenhals of Wharton, and Lee Ziegenhals & wife Anita Moss of Boerne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Andrew Schubert, Kristen Schubert, Courtney & David Sanderson, Karl Ziegenhals, Adam Ziegenhals, Liesl Ziegenhals, Sean Foster, Dustin Foster, and Robert Alford. Ronnie is preceded in death by his father Herbert Schubert, his grandparents Otto and Alma Schubert, his parents-in-law Oscar and Mary Beth Ziegenhals, and a brother-in-law Fred Ziegenhals. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. At Trinity Lutheran church in Fedor with burial following in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, April 15, 2007 , at Phillips & Luckey funeral home in Giddings. Memorials have been requested to Trinity Lutheran church building fund, the Lutheran Heritage Foundation, and the Fedor Volunteer Fire Department. |
