Children attending My Friend’s House Day School in Lexington are learning about recycling, so on Thursday of last week, the older ones, led by Michelle Lockhart, owner of the school, and their teachers, took a short walk to the Recycling Center with a wagon full of trash they had separated by cans, plastic and paper. When asked why they were recycling, several children offered answers: “Because they can make stuff out of it!” one little girl offered. “Because it helps our planet,” a young man replied. “Because they can put it back into a factory!” was another response. 23p2.jpg
