Hundreds, yes, HUNDREDS, turned out for Halloween festivities throughout Lexington last Wednesday night, as the age-old tradition of Trick or Treating was enjoyed by all. Lexington’s downtown businesses and Chamber of Commerce hosted the young and old on the Square for the second year in a row, handing out candy, selling hot dogs, and offering special readings from the famous Harry Potter books, haunted houses, and scary story telling at some of the locations. In addition, Hale Street was once again blocked off for families, as was the neighborhood at North and Terrace Streets. While homeowners in other areas of town still got a fair amount of trick or treating, it appears most of the treats were handed out at those other three locations. 6p1.jpg
