The Lexington High School Cheerleaders are seen holding a paper chain (a very, very LONG paper chain) made by the Navasota Rattler Cheerleaders. The chain is a symbol of students joining together to stop bullying, a movement known as Rachel’s Challenge. The Lexington Cheerleaders will add to the chain and donate it to the next group of Cheerleaders, who will then be challenged to do the same, keeping the chain going throughout the football season and reminding people about the dangers of bullying. Rachel’s Challenge is a serious of programs based on the writings and life of 17 year-old Rachel Scott, who was the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999. 39p1.jpg
