Last Friday morning, Lee County, along with most of Central and North Texas, enjoyed a Winter Wonderland, complete with reports of 1/2” to 1.5” inches of snow. The original plan for all three School Districts in the County was to open at 10 a.m., but due to the early arrival of the snow, they were all closed for the day. The Leader put out a message on Facebook to send in your Snow Pictures and our readers obliged! You can find several of them throughout today’s paper, as well as these furry fun friends seen above. Thank you for sending us your pictures! You can send us your pictures and news stories anytime via our website. Go to www.lexingtonleader.com and click on the Submit News Item tab at the top of the page. Pictured above left is Cleatus, special furry friend belonging to Rick and Rebecca Green, taken at their Coyote Holler Ranch in the far northern corner of Lee County. In the picture at the right, Maggie Beasley caught her cat, CJ, trying to appear as though he’s seen snow before! Maggie and Rick Beasley live on the Beasley Ranch just outside of Lexington.
