The Lexington JV Eagles traveled to Jarrell on Thursday September 23 to start district play. With steady improvement over the last couple of games and the start of district play, the young Eagles had high hopes. Lexington recieved the opening kick off and the first play from scrimmage had Eriq Mitchell streaking down the left side 70 yards for an apparent touchdown. The play was called back for holding against Lexington. The JV went on to score two touchdowns in the first half with two extra point conversions and then two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter with one two point conversion. Jarrell was allowed one touchdown in the fourth quarter on a busted play where their quarterback was able to scramble for 35 yards to score and then they tacked on two extra points. By quarter, Lexington lead from start to finish with scores of 8- 0, 16-0, 16-0 and 30-8 to secure their first victory of the year. In this picture, Lexington’s Junior Varsity #3 QB Eriq Mitchell keeps the ball as #21 Hunter Wilson and #17 Chris Johnson block.
