Glenn Wayne Noack

Funeral services for Glenn Noack, 61, of Giddings were held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas with Rev. David Mumm officiating. Burial, with military honors were provided by the Giddings American Legion York Post 276. Glenn Wayne Noack was born on June 7, 1957 in Giddings, Texas, the son of Clarence Herman Noack and Irene Helen (Berger) Noack. He was baptized on June 14, 1957 and confirmed on April 4, 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin by Rev. Arthur Graf. Glenn graduated from Giddings High School in 1975 and served in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Caroline Gonzales on October 4, 1986 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings by Father Gregory Perez. Glenn worked for Mutscher’s Inc. in Giddings for several years. Truck driving was always his passion and he drove for over 40 years. Most recently, he had been driving for Reliance Trucking in Bastrop. Glenn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, the Giddings Breakfast Lions Club, and a former member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings and the Giddings Knights of Columbus #8085. He enjoyed cooking and barbecuing. He was a “wheeler and dealer” who had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Glenn’s greatest joy was being “Popo” to his two granddaughters, Reese and Arizona. Glenn died suddenly on July 4, 2018 as the result of an automobile collision near Giddings. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerhard & Hermine Noack, Walter Berger and Minna & Alfred Hobratschk; his father, Clarence Noack, his sister, Barbara Zoch, his brother, Garry Noack and his fatherin law, Juan Gonzales. Glenn is survived by his wife, Caroline Noack of Giddings; h is daughter, Ashley Richardson & her husband, Johnathan of Giddings; two granddaughters, Reese and Arizona Richardson of Giddings; his mother, Irene Noack of Serbin; his sister, Bertha Walch of Houston; his mother-in-law, Rachel Gonzales of Giddings; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Noack & John Weiser of Serbin and Alma Weiser & Jonathan Socha of Giddings; two brothers-in-law, Delbert Zoch & his wife, Judy of Warda and Evan Gonzales & his wife, Marsha of Giddings as well as several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bruce Zoch, Christopher Kovar, Joshua Walch, Jordan Walch, Joshua Gonzales and Johnathan Richardson. Memorials may be made to the Glenn Noack Memorial Fund at Round Top State Bank in Giddings or to the charity of one’s choice.
