Diana Ator Richardson

Graveside services for Diana Ator Richardson, 59, of Giddings, Texas, were held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Giddings City Cemetery in Giddings.

Diana Lynn ( Ator) Richardson was born on July 8, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas to Donald W. Ator Sr. and Patricia (Smith) Ator. She grew up in Giddings and graduated in 1977 from Anderson High School in Austin. She attended Tarleton State University and moved to Washington D.C. where she was head of advertising for Super Stock Magazine for several years. Diana moved back to Texas where she worked for the Burleson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 office in Somerville. She also served as the interim Justice of the Peace following Judge James C. “Jimmy” McFarland’s sudden death. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed taking care of her dogs, cats, and parrot.

Diana passed away the afternoon of Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Blalock and two brothers, Mahlon Ator and an infant brother.

Diana is survived by her two brothers, Don Ator of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and David Ator of Giddings; one sister, Karen Ator of Pflugerville, as well as two nieces, two nephews, three grand-nephews and three grand-nieces.
