Victor “Vic” George Eifert

Victor G. Eifert of Houston, Texas went to his heavenly home on January 21, 2018. Vic was born in Winchester, Texas on July 11, 1935 to Alma and Erich Eifert, and was baptized in Winchester and confirmed in Aleman, Texas.

Vic attended high school and college at Concordia Austin. Vic proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserve. After college, he started his professional career with Shell Oil Company. Vic then began his long and successful career with United Airlines. Because of his positions with United, Vic lived in Montgomery, Alabama, San Francisco, California, Chicago, Illinois, Falls Church, Virginia, and Houston, Texas.

Vic was able to retire from United in 1995 and enjoyed many years of playing golf and praising God, especially through singing. Vic was a talented singer and loved singing for the Lord. He was a member of several church choirs. Vic always gave freely of his time, talent and treasures to the Lord’s work.

Playing golf was a passion for Vic. He enjoyed several years playing with his favorite foursome, the Sakahatchi group. Even late in life, he was always saying “when are we going to play golf?” The fairways are perfect and the greens smooth and fast for him in heaven.

Vic is survived by two sisters, Ann Fehler and her husband, Gerral and Lil Detering and her husband, Del. Uncle Vic had 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great nieces and 3 great nephews.
