Lillian Gerline Brown

August 31, 1932 ~ November 13, 2017

Lillian Gerline Brown, 85, of Lexington, was called home to her Lord on November 13, 2017. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 17, at 10 am and were held in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Lillian Gerline Schneider was born in Giddings, Lee County on August 31, 1932 to her parents Carl Herman and Halena Anna (Symank) Schneider. Lillian Schneider was married to the love of her life Darwin Carrol Brown on April, 5, 1952 and from this union they have three loving children. She was a credit officer at the Rockdale State Bank and remained until she retired. Lillian was an avid dancer and loved to step out onto the dance floor, square dancing and boot scooting all over Texas. She also enjoyed sewing quilts and spending time with her family. Gardening was a past time of hers that brought her much joy. Lillian was also a massive College Sports Fan, flipping the TV from game to game to get all the basketball action. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Lillian and Darwin are life time members of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and went to every Sunday Sermon they could.

Lillian was preceded in death by both parents, Carl and Halena Schneider; all of her siblings, three brothers, Harry Schneider, Rubin Schneider, and Walter Schneider; and two sisters, Lorine Reinertsen, and Gladys Walther.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Darwin Brown; a son, Darrell Brown and wife Deborah; two daughters, Charlotte Linnstaedter and husband Ronnie, and Christine Blodgett and husband Randy; four grandchildren, James Brown and wife Megan, Kathrine Cameron and husband Adam, Stacy Catherine Strobel and husband Marshal, and Rachel Elizabeth Levert and husband Michael; and two great grandchildren, Carter James Cameron, Charley Ella Cameron, (plus one on the way).
