Gerald “Jerry” Lee Blue

Memorial services for Gerald “Jerry” Lee Blue, 75, of Elgin are pending at this time.

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Blue was born on April 1, 1942 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Theodore Haskell and Tolva (Rabo) Blue. He was a truck driver in the oilfield and was employed by Theo H. Blue Drilling. Jerry owned and operated Pecan Acres in Lexington, Tolva Trucking in Giddings and Casino Trucking in Deanville. Jerry recently worked for Bobby Lehmann Trucking and Crossroads Oilfield Supply, both in Giddings. Jerry enjoyed gambling, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry passed away the morning of Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Seton Medical Center in Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Tolva Blue and three siblings, Charles Blue, Patsy Acuff, and Dan Blue.

He is survived by his four children, Lisa Causey and her husband Terry of Mississippi, Jeri Blue of Odessa, Joshua Blue of Elgin and Gabriel Blue of Blue; four step children, Cindy Barcheers and her husband Marty of Odessa, Randy Benton of Odessa, and Rhonda Baker and her husband Brooks of Idalou; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Rempher of Del Rio, Sandra Smylie of Crane, and Mary Jo Heard of Crane; four brothers, Bobby Blue of Giddings, Mike Blue of Odessa, Raymond Blue of Odessa, and Theo Blue of Kerrville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, Judy Blue-Jones and Eben “Jonesy” Jones.
