Mrs. Judy Mahanay Moore, 77 of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Graveside services were held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Texas.

Judy was born in 1940 in Pearland, Texas. She graduated from Pearland High School in 1959 and soon married the love of her life, Merton Carol Moore in 1962. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage.

She was talented in many areas and worked as an administrative assistant for several large companies in the Houston, Texas area, then moved to Lexington, Texas where she operated a café as well as an auto parts store. She worked for Texas A&M as an executive assistant for 10 years until she retired.

Judy was a wonderfully loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, amazing cook and friend to all who knew her. She had the sweetest heart and was always willing to help others in need. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and loved decorating. She loved her pets, especially Sparky who will miss napping in her lap.

She bravely battled scleroderma and multiple other conditions for many years. Her will to live was stronger and she miraculously bounced back many times. Ultimately, she made the decision that it was time to leave the pain and suffering behind and go meet her Lord and Savior. She quietly departed this life on her terms Friday morning, September 15th. She will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman and Thelma Daisy Mahanay; her sister, Maureen Gordy; and her niece Debbie Gordy.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Carol Moore; child, Greg Moore and his wife Jules; two grandchildren, Joshua and Hanna-Belle Moore; niece, Pam Gordy Milligan; nephews, Quentin and Brian Gordy; numerous great nieces and nephews; and best friend Brenda Martin Riggs.
