Superintendent Resigns

Dr. Brad Schnautz, Superintendent of Schools at Lexington ISD, announced Tuesday morning that he is resigning his position and moving to the Dallas Metroplex. He told the Leader, "I have been extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the students with an amazing staff here in Lexington ISD. With the community, we have laid the foundation for teaching and learning through the Impact LISD strategic plan for the years to come. I am confident that the District will continue to ascend to greater heights in the future because of the people of LISD and the community. I will be forever grateful to the LISD Board of Trustees for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for LISD. They have remained steadfast throughout their leadership to be student-centered and student-focused." He continued, "My family has loved being a part of the Lexington community and have made lifelong friendships that we will always treasure. We will continue to follow the successes of the District and will always cheer for the Lexington Eagles!" Pick a copy of this week's paper for more information.
