Carl August Brown

Visitation for Carl Brown, 95, of Paige was held on Friday, June 2, 2017

Carl August Brown was born on April 18, 1922 in McDade, Texas to Herman & Annie (Rother) Brown. He was united in marriage to Esther Ida (Raschke) Brown on November 2, 1947 at St. John Lutheran Church in Paige. This union was blessed with three children, Ronald, Caryn and Myron. After he was discharged from the Navy he was employed at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio as a sheet metal worker. He enjoyed farming and ranching, fishing, gardening and playing dominoes.

Carl passed away the afternoon of Monday, May 29, 2017 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Sugarland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and three sisters, Helen McKenzie, Elsie Skidmore and Irene Brown.

He is survived by three children, Ronald Brown and his wife, Susan of Katy, Caryn Lowe and her husband, Gary of Rodgers, Arkansas and Myron Brown and his wife, June of Sugarland; six grandchildren, Christopher Brown of San Antonio, Dustin Lowe and his wife, Stephanie of Frisco, Brandon Brown and his wife, Rebecca of Royse City, Texas, Ginny Kuhnel and her husband, Mark of The Woodlands, Travis Brown and his wife, Tara of Cypress and Robyn Gorrell and her husband, Jacob of Brookshire; three step grandchildren, Fred English of Katy, Christopher English and his wife, Candace of Katy and Shelia Grossman and her husband, Paul of Port Charlotte, Florida; twenty one great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lowe of Frisco, Brendan Lowe of Frisco, Carter Kuhnel of the The Woodlands, Caleb Kuhnel of The Woodlands, Caiden Kuhnel of The Woodlands, Ryan Brown of Cypress, Evan Brown of Cypress, Madison Gorrell of Brookshire, Hailey Brown of Royse City, Daisy English of Katy, Jasmine English of Katy, Peyton English of Katy, Madison English of Katy, Isaac English of Katy, Lilly English of Katy, Samantha English of Katy, Nick English of Katy, Kylie Grossman of Port Charlotte, Florida, Chloe Grossman of Port Charlotte, Florida and Avery Grossman of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Memorials may be made to the St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Paint Creek or to a charity of one’s choice.
