Betty Jane Drosche

Funeral services for Betty Drosche, 67, of Lexington, Texas, were held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington, Texas with Rev. Dale Bohm officiating.

Betty Jane (Jatzlau) Drosche was born on November 20, 1949 in Lexington, Texas, the daughter of Walter Jatzlau and Lydia (Schneider) Jatzlau. She was baptized in her parents’ home and confirmed on March 5, 1968, at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington.

Betty was united in marriage to Larry Gene Drosche on July 27, 1968, also at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Betty passed away the morning of Friday, June 2, 2017 in Bryan, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty is survived by her husband, Larry Drosche of Lexington; two children, Laurie Brewer & her husband, Mike of Lexington, and Keith Drosche & his wife, Amy of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stowers & her husband, Sawyer of Lexington, Kyle Brewer of Lexington, Luke Drosche of Lexington and Kate Drosche of Lexington; one great grandson, Coen Stowers of Lexington; eight sisters, Ruth Thomas of Alvin, Jeannie Hajdik of Houston, Helen Jatzlau of Giddings, Shirley Dismuke of Elgin, Dorothy Wright & her husband, Peter, of Austin, Susan Bailey of Alabama, Nancy Adams & her husband, Carl, of Bryan and Debbie Gill of Bryan; four brothers, Edmund Jatzlau & his wife, Betty of Giddings, Danny Jatzlau & his wife, Cindy of Giddings, Walter Jatzlau Jr. & his wife, Jane of Lincoln and Bobby Jatzlau & his wife, Jonita of San Angelo, as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
