Sports Thoughts…..

by Mike Organ

The Lady Eagles completed their season with a trip to the playoffs for the first time in three years. The future is very bright for the young ladies. Most will be playing for select teams this summer to enhance their skills.

The Eagles played winning baseball long enough to earn a fourth seed from District 20. They will play on Friday and Saturday due to state testing.

The article from Texas Football basically states Lexington will play East Bernard and then Boling in the regional finals. Lexington is in the football spotlight. Last season the Eagles were below the radar, but this upcoming season they are making a huge blip.

What has happened to TEAM? Everyone that plays most sports now are worried about how much they get to play or who is playing ahead of them. Coaches want all to succeed but within the TEAM. If a son or daughter doesn’t get to play often, let’s quit instead of working hard to improve their skills so when that next chance comes, they are ready. Quitting teaches nothing except quitting.
