Lee County EEA Schedules Washington DC Trip

The Lee County Extension Education Association has a few seats remaining for their bus tour to Washington DC, July 29 through August 5. This 9-day/8-night excursion includes a full schedule of activities and events.

Guests will travel on a chartered bus from Extension Office in Giddings to Washington DC. While in Washington DC, guests will visit numerous sites from memorials and museums packed with history. Planned sites include: George Washington Home in Mt. Vernon, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, US Marine Corps War Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Smithsonian. On the return trip, the bus will stop at Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC.

Tour Coordinator, Tonya Poncik, continues to work with contacts to secure visits to the White House, Pentagon, US Capitol and the National Cathedral.

The Washington Tour is $950 per person (based on double occupancy), which covers transportation, hotel, site visits, hot breakfast each morning and all gratuities. Call to reserve your seat today.
