150 Mile Ride

Last weekend was the BP MS 150 Bicycle Ride from Houston to Austin. Approximately 15,000 cyclists participated in this two-day ride along state and county roads between the two cities. It is held every year in support of Multiple Sclerosis research. It is the largest ride of its kind and the number of riders increases every year. At the end of the first day, riders ended up in La Grange, where the majority of them camped out overnight in several different places. Since Wes and Sheri Sweet’s son was participating, they took in four of these cyclists overnight last weekend at their home in Lexington.

Pictured here are the four exhausted riders: Brian Sweet of Liberty Hill, Dillon Hebert of Austin, Ed Simmonds of Leander, and Josh Ackerman of Houston.
