Thomas Wall Receives Service Award

Thomas Wall has been selected as an honoree of the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award by the Capitol Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Thomas serves the community in many ways, including being Cubmaster of Pack 142. The honor was presented at the 2017 Volunteer Recognition Reception on March 23. The national Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award recognizes outstanding service by an adult individual or by an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth from rural or low-income urban backgrounds. This award recognizes “unsung heroes”, those who do exceptional service for disadvantaged youth. Scouting provides experiences that develop self-esteem, character values, and life skills, thereby enhancing the lives of young people and our community as a whole.
