Gamma Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International

The Gamma Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, TX with forty-five members present.

Denise Brademan read the Mission Statement and Rebecca French led the Collect. Pledges were led by Denise Brademan. The Meditation was given by Trudy Holland, followed with prayer.

President Lou Pruett presided over the business meeting. Minutes from the March 2017 regular meeting were approved as printed by Kathy Noska, Recording Secretary.

First Vice-President Jeanell Dallmeyer announced that new members were initiated at the April meeting and members celebrated the birthdays of Delta Kappa Gamma and Gamma Omega.

Achievement Committee Chair Melanie Crowhurst presented the Chapter Achievement Award to Lou Pruett. Perfect Attendance Awards were presented to Gladys Avis, Anna Breddin, Treva Bullard, Jeanell Dallmeyer, Trudy Holland, Jessie Kokemor, Shelley Nies, Linda Pinkerton, Linda Pipes, Lou Pruett, and Heather Smith. Past chapter Presidents were honored. Dedicated members Mackie Meyer of 25 years and Joan Ziess for 50 years of membership were recognized.

Membership Committee Chair Anna Breddin presented and initiated two new members, Marilyn Brodhead of Brenham and Deborah Politsch of Bellville.

Lee County members presented a program “Are you Smarter than a DKG Founder?” and members participated in a trivia game.

Members were reminded to sign up for the TSO convention June 22-24 in Houston and were encouraged to bring their donation items for the Unifying Project to the convention.

Denise Brademan donated the door prize won by Gladys Avis, as well as the perfect attendance prize won by Heather Smith.

The Lee County members were thanked for serving as hostesses. The next meeting will be July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg with the Hempstead and Caldwell members serving as hostesses. Following adjournment, the members sang the Delta Kappa Gamma song.
