Several Sentenced in District Court

Seven people were sentenced on April 4 in District Court, with the Honorable Carson Campbell presiding.

Chance Michael Cofield, 23 of Caldwell was sentenced to three years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

Andrew Guadalupe Gutierrez, 21 of San Marcos, was sentenced to one year confinement in the TDCJ for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Christopher Sunday Galvan, 41 of SanAngelo, was given two sentences, each 240 days in the TDCJ, one for theft of property, less than $2,500, two or more convictions, and the other for bail jumping, failure to appear, attempt.

Frederick Spencer Jones, 34 of Giddings, was sentenced to four years, probated four years, for evading arrest, detention with a vehicle.

Danielle Marie Lara, 30 of Giddings, was sentenced to two years, probated two years, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Juan Jayme Castro, 25 of Giddings, was sentenced to one year in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for assault family violence, Class A.

James Lee Noack, 44 of Ledbetter, was given four years probation for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 2 – Psilocin, 4 – 400 grams.

Two people were sentenced on March 7 in the 21st Judicial District Court with the Honorable Reva Towslee Corbett presiding.

Gregory Lee Kelm, 42 of Coupland, was sentenced to 180 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 – methamphetamine, less than one gram.

Joseph Wayne Deters, 22 of La Grange, was given five years probation for credit card/debit card abuse.

On March 21, with the Judge Corbett presiding, seven more people were sentenced. Phillip Daniel King, 32 of Iola, was sentenced to 180 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for attempted [to have] prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

Michelle Ann Mays, 38 of Giddings, was sentenced to 180 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 – cocaine, less than one gram.

Toni Mondrelle James, 35 of Giddings, was sentenced to 15 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for assault family violence, class A. Brandon Wade Fry, 24 of Round Rock, was given five years probation for assault family/house member impede breath/circulation.

Mark Wayne Meuth, 48 of Giddings, was given four years probation for assault of a public servant.

Dylan Shane Marks, 25 of Giddings, was given three years probation for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 – methamphetamine, less than one gram.

Shaquez Dayshawn Sims, 22 of Lexington, was given one year probation for criminal trespass of a habitation.

On March 28, 12 more people were sentenced, with the Honorable Carson Campbell presiding. Nortorris Lamonte Deere, 40 of Caldwell, was sentenced to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for possession of a controlled substance – methylenedioxy methamphetamine and methamphetamine, 1-4 grams.

Christopher Jerome Parker, 23 of Dime Box, was sentenced to one year in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for theft, Class A, $500-$1,500.

Colby Allen Caruthers, 28 of Giddings, was given three 10-year sentences to the TDCJ for the cases of assault family/household member with a previous conviction, and for one count of obstruction or retaliation. He was ordered to pay a total of $8,154 in fines, fees, and court costs. He was also ordered to perform a total of 450 hours community service and to successfully complete anger management.

Christopher Lee Martinez, 37 of Seadrift, Texas, was sentenced to six years in the TDCJ for theft of property, $30,000 - $150,000.

Micah Alexander Phillips, 17 of Beaumont, was sentenced to five years in the TDCJ for assault on a public servant.

De’Andre Fruge- Robinson, 17 of Giddings, and Felix Patterson, 17 of Beaumont, were sentenced to four years confinement in the TDCJ for harassment of a public servant.

Bradley Dewayne Haywood, 30 of Giddings, was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ for tampering or fabricating with physical evidence with intent to impair [the investigation]. His sentence was probated for four years and he was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine, $400 court appointed attorney fee, $318 court costs and perform 150 hours of community service. He also must complete the intermediate sanctions facility program as a condition of his probation.

Robert Branden Sawyer, 36 of San Antonio, was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ for [failing to register] sex offender’s duty to register life/annually. He has to pay $299 in court costs too.

Jose Jesus Morales – Ochoa, 37 of Marshall, Texas, was sentenced to 364 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for attempted injury to a child. He has to pay $306 in court costs.

Larry Dwane Farmer, 56 of Lexington, was sentenced to 60 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for theft – Class A. He has to pay $732 in court costs and fees.

Dakota Wayne Reagan, 19 of Dime Box, was given four years probation for burglary of a habitation and ordered to pay a $400 fine, $343 court costs plus $10,000 restitution. He must perform 100 hours of community service, as well.
