Silvano Morin Lucio

Funeral services for Silvano Lucio, 71 of Giddings, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Uche Andeh officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

Silvano Morin Lucio was born on March 15, 1945 in San Louis, Mexico to Dionisio and Nicolasa (Morin) Lucio. Silvano was united in marriage to Maria Piedad in 1961 in Larado, Mexico. They were blessed with nine children, Maribel, Laura, Juan, Joaquin, Silvano, Jose, Tony, Jorge, Alex. Silvano worked for the City of Giddings Water Department for several years and then worked in the oil field as a pipeliner. He enjoyed construction, listening to music, taking care of the grandchildren and spending time outdoors.

Silvano passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his home in Giddings, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dionisio and Nicolasa Lucio, daughter, Rosa Maria Lucio, two brothers and three grandchildren.

Silvano is survived by his wife, Maria P. Lucio of Giddings; nine children, Maribel Lucio and Darrell Reuther of Giddings, Laura Lucio of Ledbetter, Juan Lucio of Ledbetter, Joaquin Lucio of Ledbetter, Silvano and his wife, Rosalba Lucio of La Grange, Jose Lucio and Candice Iselt of Giddings, Tony Lucio of Giddings, Jorge Lucio of Giddings, Alex Lara and Carmen Lara of Columbus; grandchildren, Joey Lucio, Ruby Lucio, Maida Lucio, Cynthia Lucio, Ashley Lucio, Daniel Lucio, Kaley Lucio, Bella Lucio, Cristian Lucio, Necedy Lucio, Yaomi Lucio, Sebastian Lucio, Serenity Lucio, Jordan Lucio, Nevaeh Lucio, Rafael Lucio, Kelly Lucio, Leida Mejia, Jose Majia, Jaylea Lucio, Lily Lucio, Isia Lucio, Noel Lucio, Estrella Lara, Alejandro Lara, Romeo Lara, Darius Rodriguez and Damian Rodriguez; six great grandchildren; brother, Rafael Lucio of Mexico; sister, Esperanza Lucio of Mexico, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family .

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Lucio, Cristian Lucio, Tony Lucio, Jose Lucio, Silvano Lucio, Jorge Lucio, Rafael Lucio and Darrell Reuther.

Memorials may be made to St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 500 South Grimes St., Giddings, Texas 78942 or to the charity of one’s choice.
