Calvin Clint “Juicy” Key

Funeral services for Calvin Clint “Juicy” Key, age 71 were held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Black Jack Cemetery with Dwight Kelly officiating. Juicy was born August 16, 1944 in the Black Jack Community in Burleson County and was the son of Joe Leonard & Matilda Irene (Gee)Key. He was raised in Black Jack, but lived most of his life in Rockdale. He attended school in Rockdale and Caldwell. Juicy was a cattleman all of his life. He worked at Lexington Livestock Commission for 38 years, Milano Livestock for 29 years and also worked Caldwell, Cameron and other area livestock sales. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop to have coffee with his friends. He liked watching sports, especially Tiger football and basketball and was a Texas Ranger fan. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren showing their livestock and the great grandchildren performing in rodeos. He and Allie Yoakum were married on September 13, 1991 at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale. Juicy passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Pflugerville Care Center in Pflugerville. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Joe Leonard Key on December 26, 1998 and Matilda Irene Key on April 6,1986, and his brother-in-law, Richard Wells. Surviving are his wife Allie Yoakum Key of Rockdale; Son, Brian Keith Key of Rockdale; Sisters, Frances Key Wells of Manor, TX and Betty Jo Key Alford and husband, Aaron, of Black Jack; Step daughters, Nancy Hirt Banks and husband, Marshall, of Rockdale, Karen Hirt Banks and husband, Chuck, of Mineral Wells, TX; Grandchildren, Dusti Pesl & husband, James, Kelsey Shipp & husband, Dakota, Tanner Banks & Fiancée Layne, Emily Hirt and Jami Banks; Great grandchildren, Kathryn, Carli, and Caitlin Pesl. Also survived by several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
