Bernice Ruth Biehle

Funeral services for Bernice Biehle, 85 of Loebau, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Texas with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Bernice Ruth (Fritsche) Biehle was born on June 9, 1931 in Loebau, Texas, the daughter of Albert Andreas Fritsche and Anna Marie (Iselt) Fritsche. She was baptized on June 21, 1931 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau. Bernice was confirmed on September 23, 1945 at Christ Lutheran Church by Rev. H. A. Stroebel and her confirmation verse was John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. Bernice was united in marriage to Carl Herman Biehle on April 19, 1953 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau. They were blessed with one daughter, Diane. Carl preceded her in death on July 17, 2012 after 59 years of marriage. Bernice was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor and enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers and sewing. She passed away the morning of Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Anna Fritsche; her husband, Carl Biehle; two brothers-in-law, Vestine Zoch and Paul Biehle, Sr. and two sisters-in-law, Edna Haley and her husband, Frank, and Elizabeth Biehle.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Biehle of Loebau; one brother, Gene Fritsche and his wife, Rose of Loebau; one sister, Irene Zoch of Houston; one brother-in-law, Ernest Biehle of Lexington and one sister-in-law, Elaine Biehle of Vidor, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
