Linda Hannes Davis was born July 5, 1946 to Monroe and Ellie Hannes of Giddings, Texas. Surrounded by her family, Linda went to her eternal home in Heaven on Saturday, October 3, 2015. It would be impossible to measure the profound impact Linda has had on the lives of her children, family and friends, by reason of her amazingly resilient and positive attitude toward life. What an eloquent and poised woman she was. Linda possessed an unconditional love for life and people. Where others might be timid and weak, Linda was courageous and strong. The luckiest people in the world are people who need people. Linda needed people, and people needed Linda!

It was in Giddings, Texas where Linda was raised, and by her own admission, being the product of her parents’ love and devotion, had an idealist childhood.

Linda graduated with honors in 1964 from Giddings High School. Following which, she attended the University of Texas at Austin. She later, went to work for Southwest Securities. As her family grew, Linda was able to put her career on a temporary hold, to be at home with her children. The strong family values and traditions she inherited from her parents, allowed her to impart much love and wisdom to her own children. Linda’s career resumed. She went back to work at Texas State Securities and enjoyed a long, successful career in the securities industry.

Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband, Robert. Additionally, Linda loved spending time with all her grandchildren at her country farm where they would hang out by the campfire making sweet memories and s’mores!

Linda is survived by her husband Robert Davis and her children: David Pieratt; Amy and Chance Hardy and their children, Skylar and Zoe Thomas; Melissa and Ramiro Ferriol and their children Daniel, Emma and Ellie; Kelly Davis and Kirsten Walles; Jimmy and Michelle Davis and their children Mallory and Harrison; her brother Fred and sister in law Diana Hannes; and many other family and friends.
