Frank Simcik

Funeral services for Frank E. Simcik will be a rosary, Monday, at 7 P.M. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington. Mass will be Tuesday at 2:30 PM. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to the rosary.

Frank was born January 22, 1937 in Flatonia, Texas, one of six children born to the union of Edward J. Simcik and Louise (Weber) Simcik. Frank was raised in the Flatonia area and on June 23, 1962 he and Dorothy Dybala were married in Holman, Texas. Frank was a pot tender for ALCOA of Rockdale until 1995. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, and dominoes.

Frank died Friday, March 27, 2015 in the Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Paul, John, and Charles Simcik.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy “Dot” Simcik; daughter, Kristina “Kristi” Simcik; grandchildren, James and Emily Simcik, all of Lexington; brother, Edward Simcik of Columbus; sister, Dorothy Melvin of Tampa, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like memorials to be directed to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington.
