John S. Brice

Mass for John S. Brice, 90 of Bryan formerly of Tanglewood is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington with burial in the Lexington Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Nisari and Rev. Nils Thompson officiating.

John S. Brice was born October 12, 1924 in Tira, Texas to John Sherman and Cecelia Geneva (Brownell) Brice. He and Ollie Odell Brown were married June 30, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas. John worked as an Operation Superintendent for Shell Oil. After he retired, they moved to Tanglewood where they lived 27 years until they moved to Bryan where they lived the past 18 months. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington.

John passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in the Carriage Inn Retirement Center in Bryan. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father and two grandchildren, Michelle Moore and Andy Warren.

Surviving are; his wife of 69 years, Ollie Brice of Bryan; son, Michael Brice and wife Sherri of College Station; two daughters, Cecelia Moore and husband John of Spring, Jan Grover and husband Paul of Clear Lake; six grandchildren, Kristen Weaver and husband Brian, Mitchell Moore and wife Celeste, Jennifer Geyer and husband Nick, William Brice, Katie Brice and Joshua Brice; seven great-grandchildren, Cadence, Bailey, Asher, Allison, Megan, Jax and Mason.

Pallbearers are; Lester Weyand, Douglas Buck, Carl Roseler, Herman Schoenemann, Douglas Winters, David Smith.

Honorary pallbearers, E.J. Provasek, Delphine Stoelke, Walter Fortune.
