Richard Lee Clark


Richard Lee Clark was born October 19, 1949 in Oakland, California. A resident of the greater Austin-Lexington area, he peacefully went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ early Sunday morning, September 14, 2014, at 12:14 from his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a vivacious man who loved God, life, family and hard work.

He graduated from Foothill High School in Hayward, California.

Richard worked in aerospace as a lead and a manager at Rockwell International Rocketdyne Division in Canoga Park, California on the Space Shuttle Main Engine as a Metal Fitter Technician in Production Control. He proudly accepted a highly revered NASA Space Shuttle Silver Snoopy Award. Richard also worked as a Corrections Officer at the State School in Giddings, Texas. He attended First Baptist Church of Lexington, Lexington, Texas.

Loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Jewel Everett Clark; sons, Vincent, Martin, Titus, and Julien, daughter, Rachel; mother-inlaw, Isabel Everett; father-inlaw, the late Rev. John Everett Sr.; former wife, Laurice Prevost Clark; son, Kaylon, daughters, Kaylene, Carmale Beridon, Derraine, and Crystal Madrigal; former mother- & father-in-law, Mary Grace & the late Wilfred Prevost; sons-in-law, John Beridon and Omar Madrigal; daughters-in-law, Dolly Clark and Francis Gutierrez; fourteen (14) grandchildren, Kayla, Kajanna, Melody, Destinee, Frankie, James, Noah, David-Wayne, Johniece, Terrell, Terriq, Reagan, Sariah, Matthew; three (3) great grandchildren, Mikaela, Heaven, and King; five (5) brothers, Charles, Kenny, Glen, Jeffrey, Eric; five (5) sisters, Ann Cooper, Inez Bell, Jackie Clark, Cynthia Clark, Tammy Ruiz; five (5) brothers-in-law, Richard Cooper, Alexis Ruiz, John Everett Jr., Clayton Everett, Bruce Everett; seven (7) sisters-in-law, Evelyn Clark, Angela Clark, Mercedes Everett, Daphne Oakley, Susan Everett, Yolanda Everett; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, too numerous to list, many loving cousins, Prevost Family, expecting unborn, those who have preceded him in death, devoted church family and friends.

His memorial was held Saturday, September 27, 2014, 2:00 pm, at the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church in Pacoima, California. Pastor D.B. Duplechan (World Faith Vision MBC) officiated.
