John Franklin Stewart IV

October 7, 1969 - February 28, 2014

John Franklin Stewart IV was born on October 7, 1969 in Giddings, Texas to John “Jack” F. Stewart III and Nancy Carole (Tate) Stewart. John was baptized and confirmed at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings. John graduated from Giddings High School in 1988. He loved sports, animals, grilling, and most of all, spending time with his family. John loved his nieces and nephews. They were his pride and joy. He will always be remembered for his kindness and gentle heart. He is preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” F. Stewart III; grandfather, Dr. John F. Stewart II; his grandmothers, Frances L. Bour Stewart and Mary Landrum Fields; his uncle, Greg Stewart and his aunts, Diane Garner and Rose Stewart.

John is survived by his mother, Nancy Carole (Tate) Stewart of Round Rock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth “Lisa” & James Shrauner of Midland, Melanie Stewart of Midland, Kimberly & Timothy Jones of Savannah, and Aimee & Matthew Kurio of Pflugerville; brother and sister-in-law, MSgt. Peter and Suzanne Stewart of Andersen Air Force Base in Guam; nephews, Russell and Stewart Shrauner of Midland, Jordan and Jayson Jones of Savannah, Jack Stewart of Andersen Air Force Base in Guam and Jaxon and Grant Kurio of Pflugerville; nieces, Jay’me Shrauner of Midland, Hannah Stewart of Andersen Air Force Base in Guam and Rheagan Kurio of Pflugerville; his uncles Dr. Vincent Stewart and Dr. James Stewart both of Giddings; his aunts and uncles, Margaret & Joe Papick of Buda, Deborah and Ronnie Urban of Cypress, Diane & Rick Rozier of St. Augustine, FL and Ron Garner of Houston, and numerous cousins.

Services for John were on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father James Olnhausen officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Russell Shrauner, Stewart Shrauner, Jordan Jones, Jayson Jones, Jack Stewart, Lee Gerdes, Steve Papick and Chris Papick. Honorary pallbearers were Jaxon Kurio, Grant Kurio, James Shrauner, Peter Stewart, Timothy Jones and Matthew Kurio.

Our beloved son, brother and uncle, John passed away on the morning of Friday, February 28, 2014 in Austin, Texas.
