Lexington improved to 3-7 for the 2013 volleyball season, with a three game win over the Lady Lions of Fayetteville. Lexington won 25-20, 25-7, and 25-12. This was a one game affair since Fayetteville did not have enough for a JV.

Game one was tied at 10 points each when the Lady Eagles started asserting themselves. Lexington pulled out to an 18-12 advantage, and then eased home with the win.

Game two saw the Lady Eagles really put it together. With confidence showing, Lexington bashed, bumped, and dug them to a 25-7 win. The highlight was Karsen Ross’s three consecutive kills, and then a block for a point. Thorough dominance by Lexington for the game was the rule.

Game three started off with the teams, trading points to 3-4. From there Lexington again took over, stepping out to a 15-8 lead behind kills by Mikayla Daniels, Mary Beth Ross, another K Ross block, in addition to a Kristen Boettcher kill. The Lady Eagles then cruised the rest of the way to the 25-12 win.
