Lexington Police Report

August 26, 2013

Cpt. Wooldridge and Chief Yarbrough were dispatched to an alarm call in the 9300 blk of Hwy 77 N. Upon officers’ arrival, contact was made with a female subject who stated she babysits for the owner and she forgot to turn the alarm off when she left. Contact was made with the owner who verified the subject’s story.

August 28, 2013

Chief Yarbrough responded to a gas drive-off at the Cefco store. The vehicle had left the scene. Upon officer’s arrival, a report was taken.

Officer Sandoval was asked by Lee County to assist Deputies with trying to locate a reckless driver that was north bound into Lexington from CR 405. Officer Sandoval attempted to locate the vehicle, but was unable to.

Officer Stark stopped a vehicle in the 8000 blk of Hwy 77 for an expired registration. After making contact with the driver, who was identified as Ruth Flores, a check was made on the subject, which showed she had a suspended driver’s license. Flores was then placed under arrest for Driving While License suspended.

August 29, 2013

Officer Stark met with a subject at the Lexington Police Department who reported that she observed a white truck hauling hay on a trailer, turn from South Rockdale St. onto 696 West, strike the utility pole, leaving hay on the pole and on the ground. The vehicle was unable to be located and a report was taken.

Officer Stark met with a subject at the Lexington Police Department who wanted to turn in medication that could no longer be used. Officers drove by the subjects’ residence in the 1000 blk of Caldwell St. and retrieved the medication which was logged in, tagged, and placed into evidence for destruction.

August 30, 2013

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to a subject drinking beer and driving, heading down 696 West. Officer Sandoval attempted to locate the vehicle, but was unable to.

August 31, 2013

Officer Sandoval met with a complainant at the Lexington Police Department in which the complainant stated a known subject had his phone which he had lost, and would not return the phone to him. Officer Sandoval went to speak with the subject, but he had left the residence. Officer Sandoval took a theft report from the complainant and this incident is under investigation.
