The green Lady Eagles spanked Hearne in three games Friday afternoon to gain their second win of the season. Lexington won the three games 25-8, 25-14, and 25- 16. The young Green (both teams are Eagles) team gained confidence with every play. Lexington is now 2-7.

Game one saw Lexington come out swinging and hitting their serves with confidence. They took an early lead and kept expanding it. Meghann Wrinkle got some serious hits, and Karsen Ross slammed a couple home on good sets from Krista Lerche. Madison Bexley and Kristen Boettcher kept good passes going to the setters for kills.

Lexington stepped into game two with some confidence, but Hearne battled with them briefly before Lexington got back to the bump, set, hit routine that won them game one. Garlyn Radford and Mary Beth Ross got kills in this game. The sets from K. Ross and Lerche were good, as Lexington took the game easily.

Lexington continued the onslaught in game three with a decisive 25-16 win after falling back early in the contest. Lexington refocused and quickly regained the lead, expanding the margin. Mikayla Daniels got a couple of hits and Amber Turnipseed made a couple of good passes.

The Lady Eagles will be playing in the Anderson-Shiro tourney this weekend, and will host Navasota Tuesday, September 3rd.
